Default Road-tech MP3

If you like your music while you ride the road-tech mp3 can't be beat! Have the dealer install(warranty!); just won't read over 256 mg. chip. don't know why but trust me; found out the hard way! Great sound, small and waterproof!

I'd check on that, some others have put 512Mb and even 1Gb sticks in theirs.

I'll stick with my Sony MP3 CD player. Each CD holds 130-170 songs (depending on size), about the equivalent of 3 of your 256Mb sticks! Plus, I can split my songs out into various folders, making searching faster.

each to his (or her ) own, just trying to help! by the way; the 256 holds about 150--160 tunes and is right handy by the right controls-within thumb reach; and chips are very small. do wish it had your folder thing though. ride safe! (I'll let you know if I need my computer fixed!)

What displeases me about the Road Tech unit is that it requires a Windows based PC. It should be cross platform.

I have an 06 Ultra and burn MP3 disks out of iTunes for use or I can plug my iPod directly into the unit.

I was just curious about your comment using a chip thats larger than 256 mb. I just purchased the Harley Davidson Road Tech Player and also a 512 mb chip (thinking that the 64 mb that came with the player was a little on the small size) When playing back recorded music I get a a engine whinning sound that noticeable through the radio when listening to the music. I not sure if I need a inline filter installed on the hot wire or maybe its something I doing wrong when recording the music on the chip. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm curious, how do you fit that many songs onto 256mb? At 128kbps (the minimum you should do) they are 3mb (minimum) per song. That makes about 80 songs at most after formatting.

Keep in mind that I have the same controls that are already on the bike, and those work great with my mp3 cd player. I can flip up and down the songs, radio stations, adjust volume, even adjust some of the settings (balance, bass/treble, etc.) without moving my hands off the grips.
