I am trying to figure out how to burn a CD that will work in the stock Harmon Kardon head units. I want to burn it as a data disk rather than a music disk so that I can fit like 120+ songs on it. I am using an iMac, but do not believe that is my problem. I have all my songs in my library setup as .M4A's rather than .MP3's as they are like a 1/4 of the size and have better quality sound. I am concerned that this might be the problem. Does anybody know if the HK head unit is capable of reading .M4A's or is there a software upgrade that will give it this capability? Thanks for any insight. Ride Safe!

The HK is really picky. MP3's only..... and even then some MP3's won't play because of extra meta info, and you have to use software to remove artwork and stuff.
That's why I use an iPod..... got enough music on it to go from Illinois to the Black Hills, and back without hearing the same song twice.
