Quick Opinions please.........


**Daytona Skull Cap or Skid Lid**
Which of these two Helmets do you like best? Which one fits "Smaller" like the Novelty look?

Don't know about the Daytona, but the skid lid has a mushroom look.

 

I have one of each. The Daytona is lighter and fits my head better. I think it's less obnoxious looking, too. My $0.02.

 

+1 I have had the Daytona Skull Cap for a couple years. Nice helmet at all speeds.

 

Quick question here. If you live in a state that has a helmet law, why not wear a helmet that will protect you if you kiss the pavement. No disrespect intended.

 

I own both, and the Daytona is more comfortable because it's considerably lighter.

And to answer the previous poster's question, I wear a half helmet (when it's hot) because it's more comfortable. If my state didn't require helmets, I wouldn't wear a helmet except on the highway .... not as safe as the ATGATT crowd, but driving a motorcycle ain't safe either!

 

Based on a lot of chatter here I got a Daytona half helmet, but it must not be a skull cap model, cause it's freakin huge. I ended up with a skid lid brand. but I coulda screwed up and ordered the wrong thing, I dunno.

 

I'll never understand why some people feel compelled to get on a soapbox and preach their opinions to others when it has absolutely nothing to do with the OPs question. I try to mind my own business and let other people do the same, unless someone specifically asks for my opinion on something. I don't care if you wear a full face helmet or a space suit when you ride that's your business. No disrespect intended (well, maybe a LITTLE).
