Darn security system chirp...
Does anyone know if the dealer can plug their computer into a bike and shut off the security system chirp? I have tried about a hundred times to do the ignition switch on/off routine and I cannot get it to silence the chirp. I did a search on it and it looks like some people are able to get this (the ignition switch on/off bit) to work and others are not. If the dealer can shut it off I'd be willing to pay them.

<<Turned mine off do not remember how but it had to be simple for me to do it>>
Yup it is an easy process, except it doesn't work on my bike. The dealer even admits that they have trouble getting it to work. When I ask them about hooking up their computer and turning the chirp off they don't know if they can do this...they are willing to try, at my cost of course. I'm not willing to pay for their education, that's why I asked here if anyone knew if they could do it.
<<Just remove the siren, you will still have security but it work chirp or alarm audibly..............the siren is an option feature.>>
Yes I could do this but it defeats the main function of the alarm system...lots of noise if some thief tries to make off with the bike.

Right after I got my bike the security somehow swapped over to chirp mode.
I tried the on off deal several times and could not get it to swap back to chirpless. I even called the dealer and they said to bring it in there might be a problem with the module.
Just to try something different I turned the ignition switch off on the handle bar. (I never use this switch). I went through the on off routine with the main switch and it changed over to chirpless on the first try.
I don't know why the handlebar switch affects the changing of the modes, but it did on my bike.
So turn the handlebar switch OFF, then cycle on off through with the main switch. It worked for me.

Just curious. Why would you want to turn off the chirp and the siren?
