just curious to know if whips are legal to have in texas or in any other state in that matter. i have had too many close calls not to protect myself. im sure others have had many close calls themselves.

 

We carry guns in Texas. Never bring a whip to a gunfight.

 

'Get back' whips are still legal in many states but I would never bring a whip to a gun fight.

 

Yes I carry my gun too but I need something quick just to catch attn.

Been running whips a long time. I like to watch it in the wind. Used it a few times on stupid dogs trying to chase me. Never used it on a car or a person. Everyone packs in Texas and a whip at a gun fight is not good odds. Sometimes aggressive behavior is needed but it can be costly. Glad I pack---hope I don't have to use it.

 

I would imagine that they are perfectly legal to own in every state. Still, I am with the rest of the crew.... don't understand why. If you are seriously thinking about defense, a whip is the worst possible idea, unless you are attacked by a gang of ****'s who happen to be searching for the Ark of the Covenant.
