This is one reason I have a big sticker on the back of my SUV that says "Get off the Phone and Drive." If only one person gets the point, it's worth it.

Can we just take the saying, "Guns don't Kill people, people kill people." and change it to "Cell phones don't kill people, dumbass people using them kill people!"

 

I have been riding motorcyles since 1973. The only accident I have had was a soccer mom in a mini van on her cell phone a couple of years ago. I was stopped at a light and she ran into the back of me. I heard the tires screeching but I couldn't go anywhere fast enough. She didn't hit me hard enough to knock me off the bike, but she still did about $1800 of damage to the bike. I'm just glad that she at least braked before impact.

No, I'm with the OP. It's the combination of the idiot in the cage PLUS the cellphone. At least 90% of the cages that cross the center line and wander toward me or stray into my lane from right next to me are idiots talking or TEXTING on their cell phones.
