No idea... Trying to find it in the Maint Manual right now. What kind of special tools do I need?

Thanks for the help.

I haven't looked in the manual but I assume that everything in the primary has to come out if you have to pull inner and outer primary. Socket to fit compensator, wedge to lock chain. Loctite and torque wrench to reinstall.

Would I need any sort of bearing/wheel puller? I do not have the wedge for the primary chain but I think I will make one. I am pretty sure I have the correct size socket for compensator, but if not I can get one. Loctite and Torque wrenches I have.

Thanks again for the help.

You can either cut the race off, carefully, or you will need the special tool to pull it off. When you install the new one, be sure you position it properly on the mainshaft. Read the manual.
You will also need an extended socket with centering ring to get the forward pulley nut off. You can also make your own pulley locking tool to hold the pulley from turning. I made one out of 2x4 material, same as the belt locking tool.
You might need the quad seal installation tool too. Replace all those seals while you're in there.

So when I go to the dealer to get the seals that I need, what do I ask for? Is there a kit with all the seals for the primary? What is it called that I need to ask for where the shifter goes into the tranny? Is it the Shifter Seal?

Thanks
Phil

I have always ordered parts on line, i.e. J&P cycle. They offer a complete primary gasket and seal kit. You will have to order the quad, large seal and shifter seal separately.
