Default New grips and switch housings

Well kinda excited, got my new skull levers in the mail, damn they are way cool. I also got new grips for xmas. Still waiting on the chrome housings to arrive. I'm going to do it all at one time. I did all this to my 04 sporty a few years back. Seems like i remember the housings being a booger to install. any tips or advice? Still need some mirrors. Z

I found installing the chrome housings fairly easy...

easy compared to machining pistons and rings out of an aluminum block with a dremel while blindfolded...

The housings you need to be " fresh" and able to do intricate work. Take breaks when needed and read the instructions 10 times before starting. Go slow and don't drink. You'll be fine.

The not drinking is the hard part! lol. Well at least I have a warm garage. I hope they get here tomorrow. I'll post pics when, if I get done.

On second thought drink. You don't have any radio, cruise volume switches. Should be pretty easy.

Good luck on your project, I hope to see the pictures when you are done! I found all the advice I needed to change out my levers today on hdforums.com (google search).
