Dealer warranty experience
Went to the local dealer to have a leaky shock replaced and when I picked it up I found that the extended warranty did not cover it. good news is the dealer covered the whole thing. Some dealers actually do have good customer service.

Glad to hear that you found a good dealer. Maybe post the name of the dealer so that if others are in the area they can check them out.
I had good expereince at Chester's Snake HD in Twin Falls ID. Have not had any work done there, but sales was great, store staff was great, parts was great and service looked very organized when we were given a tour.

I had a problem 4 days before I was leaving on a bike trip. Owens Harley Davidson in Yakima Wa. did the work right away. I was concerned about having to get an authorization for the extended warrenty coverage, they said they always just make the needed repair right away and deal with the paperwork later. I got my bike back in time for my trip with only the $50.00 fee for the repair.

I do read a lot about negative dealer experiences, but I have to say that I could not be more pleased with MY dealership. (Harley-Davidson World Shop, in Edmond, OK)
They have made things "right" more than once.

Which Extended Warranty package do you have? The MoCo blessed CNA or some other? I am very surprised this wasnt covered.

I have been pleased and pleasantly surprised at the excellent warranty service at Red Rock H-D in Las Vegas.
Bernie, Matt and the gang have gone above and beyond on several occasions for me.

Willing to bet that shocks are considered a "wear item". Most extended warranties I see do not cover such items. Shocks do wear out and need to be replaced or rebuilt eventually.
