Apehangers work for some but not all comfort problems. I was having a vulcan pinch pain in my shoulders, mounted some apehangers and could not be happier with my choice.
A back rest can help a weak back also.

On the same note, I have an '07 Sportster 883L with the Sundowner seat. I also have a sissybar with it. Is there a way to add a rider's backrest to it? If so, which one?

Plus, I want to chance the bars to either mini apes or a pullback riser. Thanks.

The most important thing(At least for me,lower back surg. arth. ss.) is to have your spine straight and no slumping forward esp. shoulders. I see a lot of riders hunched forward and can only think of how much pain that would cause me. I have a Mustang saddle and med. rise bars with a moderate pullback that allows me to sit straight up when I ride. I know it doesn't look cool but at least I can do some high mile days this way.
