Default New Handlebar Decision...

I am trying to decide on a new handlebar setup for my 07 Softail Custom. It has the mini apes stock, and I've had full apes on a previous bike so am not wanting to go back down that road.

I am almost set on going with the Carlini Clean Sweeps or the Arlen Ness Fly Hi/Lo bars, but am unsure what size to go with on either.

I am 6'1", so the shortest Clean Sweep (5-inch) is out I think. I don't want to have to reach that far down. So I am thinking either the 7 or 9 inch versions.

The Ness bars seem to follow that 7 or 9 inch rise pattern with the Fly Lo & Hi, but they seem to have quite a bit more pullback than the CS, which I'm afraid will bring them too close (I like to sit forward slightly to use my core for support). I am leaning toward the 7 inch, bu have no experience with extended riding with either.

Any thoughts, opinions, or good pictures of any of the four mentioned choices on a bike (or even better, pictures with rider in position as well)?

Thanks!

(has been lowered a little since this picture, and A/C cover changed. Guess I need to get the camera out again.)

Carlini's are far nicer bars than Ness IMO. I can't help on the rise as I am shorter than you and run apes, but drop a line if you want a discounted price on Carlini's.

I just put Carlini Clean Sweeps, 9 inch rise, 1.5 inch tubing, wicked handlebars, very happy with them. Can't comment on ride comfort as there is 2 ft of snow here and sitting on it would be different as I am running a Rocker C with a Danny Grey seat, but I am 6'2" and feels really good.

Seen a set of 1.25 inch bars and am really happy I went with the 1.5", the 1.25s are nice, but the 1.5s are just that much better.

I have to suggest some beech bars,I put a set on a FatBoy I built a few years back and they were comfortable. The down side to them is that they are so wide you need to get extended cables.

Default Carlini 7" clean sweep on a Deuce

I'm 6'2" and these fit me just fine. Almost identical riding position as my stock bars.

Awesome! Thanks for all the input. Definitely helps.
Any pics Jaxx?

FL DEUCE... Is that the 1.25 or 1.5 inch bar? cool paint job too! those flames look GOOD.
Thanks for all the great shots. I think they may have just convinced me. Now to just pony up the money (and figure out cable lengths).
