I did hit a bear in Oct 08 Broke a couple of ribs, wife sprained her ankle, did $8700 worth of damage to my 06 Ultra.

 

Wonder what caliber of harley they used to shoot that thar bare.

I heard it was a anorexic old lady on a moped who's flip flop fell off and hit the bear.

I was thinking the same thing about caliber. Could have been a 2438.40mm or a 2616.2mm.

Me and my ex wife were cruising when we lived on Vancouver Island B.C. We saw the bear crossing the hwy a half mile ahead of us so we stopped once we knew it was a comfortable distance away from us. Roughly 20 yards. We seen the bear start looking across the road where it just came from and there were 2 cubs coming out of the trees. We were stuck right in the middle! Mommy bear started heading towards her babies so we promptly **** our pants, got back on the bike and were gone like a shot! Stopping was a good idea at the time but wouldn't do it again. Grizzlies don't look that big from a distance but up close and personal they're f'n HUGE! I can't imagine what hitting one on a bike would feel like.

 

She does not like me riding but she knows it is my love! She actually rides on the back of the bike every once in a while!
