Default Modulators are annoying

Today, I was riding my bike to town, on a 2 lane, 55mph speed limit. A line of cars was approaching, and about the third space I saw bright white flashing lights. I couldn't see the vehicle, because of the tight grouping. I slowed down and fixated on the flashing light, anticipating that an unmarked LEO was about to fly into my lane in hot pursuit of a felon.

Alas it was just a guy on a huge Goldwing trike. It already had huge headlights, probably on bright, and flashing. because this guy is worried about his visibility, he made me pay attention to him, instead of looking for deer, or other business, in my lane.

If you need a trike with flashing lights to feel safe, get a truck.

Flame away.

Goldwing trike cost more than truck and might weigh more. Was it bright yellow?

I don't see the problem... same rules as the Federal Aviation Administration, " SEE AND BE SEEN". In my opinion, it is a safe way to ride.......... see and be seen. It is not his fault you continued to fixate on him, however it was partly his fault that you saw him. Now all that being said, I don't use a modulator, but I do like being seen by others.

should be a law against them...the only flashing lights should be emergency vehicles.

Modulators are not cool. Please God, squash me with a cage if I stop being cool.
