So, is it a boy or a girl?
Just wonderin' in these times of political platitudes, feminine fortitude and male misogyny, what do y'all believe the gender of a bike ought to be?
The conundrum for male owners is calling the motorbike a "she" may invite charges of sexism when one uses the verb "ride", while calling it a "he" in similar circumstances may lead to certain other inferences
So feel free to pop by with your valuable insights - both lady and gentlemen owners/riders - is it a boy or a girl, and why?
Me? I'm kinda torn 'twixt the two and am sorely tempted to call my ride "Bike" (with a capital B...kinda like God with a capital G)

If we get a good debate going on this, it'll be a treasure trove for Freudian apologists - conscious or sub-conscious gender associations are soooo couch-worthy and worth a bit of introspection

Definitely feminine. As in "She's hot". "She's a beauty". "I rode her hard today".
"Damn, that b#$% is costing me a fortune".
Gotta be a girl.

Well then, this discussion is about to get interesting...
My bike is definitely female!
She and I endured the superslab to Memphis, TN to ride with my Daddy and the PGR
She's ridden with the PGR in NY
She slew a Dragon and scraped a peg in the process
She flew over the Cherahola Skyway and wanted more
She rocked her way to Blue Ridge, GA to meet the Queens of the Road
She faithfully carried me to NH to deliver the HDForum's Mascot to Chappy
She's been to or ridden through FL, VA, WV, DE, RI, DC, MD, NC, SC, VT, MA, ME, CT, PA, NJ,
And, She has every intention of doing the lower 48's and seeing some of Canada
She's ridden through rain and has carried me well into the winter months.
Oh, and she's gregarious
Yep, she's my ANKH!

And what would we say when we refer to "gettin' me some Slip-ons for them pipes" or "what say we get a pair of bags"...the former sound like ***** covers while the latter, well, lets just say the word "saggies" come to mind
