Servicing Question
Hey guys
My current ride is my first EFI bike and I just had a question about servicing. I'm gonna do most of it myself (oil, filters, spark plugs etc) but how often do I have to take it to the dealer to hook the computer up to make sure she's running in good order?
Cheers

Never, if you're happy with the way it's running. If not, you'll need some type of fuel nanny like a Power Commander.

Thanks guys. I'm tryin to get my hands on service manual for my bike, I feel a little uncomfortable getting it from my usual dealer cos I had a slight problem with the bike, booked it in, decided I'll fix it myself, cancelled the booking.
Now if I buy the manual off them I might as well have a sign that says "I don't like your business" and I don't wanna offend them too much cos they know who I am and other family members who ride are in there weekly. Many of us saw what happened to "warren888" when he annoyed his dealer lol - I'm only kidding

don't worry about annoying your dealer, just order the manual, along with the parts manual, and if you're really dedicated, the electrical troubleshooting manual, from one of the onlline discounters.
you'll get the manual, avoid any fear of alienating your dealer, and save a few bucks at the same time.
ooh, just noticed, you are in aus. thats gonna make it a little more difficult, but not insurmountable.

Nevermind that knocking or the clunk when you start the bike...that whirring from the left side that may be a bearing? Just check the plugs.
