Anyone out there use Bates tactical boots. I was looking at a pair the other day and they seem nice but I wasn't really sold on the soles. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

 

I wear Bates boots daily as my work boots. This is the forth pair. They last about a year. Never had any problems with the soles and they are super light. I walk every morning before work and try to get at least a couple of miles and I wear my Bates to do this.

Thats why I looked at them because the seemed real light. But the soles on the ones I looked at were kind of foamy-like to give more cushion but I thought that might wear out quick. The ones I looked at were the Durashocks, I would like to find a pair of Paratroopers and look at them also.

 

I wore them before I retired from the police dept. and never wore out the soles. I really liked them, and still have a pair (courtesy of the P.D.) that I wear when riding.

 

I have but we switched to Ridge. Better boot, easier to run in.

I wear them at work and for riding. The composite toe is lighter. Mine last at least a year.

 

I wear them at work and when riding.I have had a pair of the Ultra Lites for about4 years now and the soles are starting to wear out now.

I had these for the last two years and they are still in great condition. I wore them for the better part of a year every day, thenI bought some other new ones so I could rotate (they were getting a little ripe). The soles are great and haven't wore much at all yet are soft and easy on the dogs. The only thing I did was replace the insoles about 6 months ago.
