4023 kilometers in two weeks
Wife and I just rode around the great island of Newfoundland, down both the Burin and Connagre peninsulas. Other than one 700 km ride on the way back,we didnt seem to ride alot, and a few days hardly at all,but they do add up.The 2012 Heritage was just flawless except the bottom saddle bag mount(rubber part) broke when I took the bags off to clean up the bike.
We rode a lot of twisty, very hilly, mountains really, and I got the feel of her now,the Heritage really handles as well as any of the Dynas Ive had. Most of the time in the more remote areas all we could get was regular gas, which didnt seem to bother her a bit. Two days of rain, the rest was great, though at times chilly early in the morning. The 103" used no oil, never balked once, truely a good motor.
Heres some pics

I've been to Cape Breton but not Newfoundland yet. Sounds like you had a great ride in a beautiful area! I think you're right regarding the 103" motor, I've not really heard anything negative about it.

nice trip for sure. We just returned from Tennesse doing over 5000kms in 8 days........some great riding in Smokey Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway.....rode the Tail and not a big fan - met transport.....also rode the Snake......met some weather that was over 120F for three days solid.....tough riding in that with a street glide for sure (captures heat within fairing and feels like hair dryer in your face).......would love to do east coast one year but next year might be Sturgis
