I got my 03 heritage back in oct of last year with about 3000 miles on it....the guy who had it before took real good care of it and put alot of extra chrome on it so it saved me a few $$$.....but I really like the ride of it...I'm coming off a sport bike with 22,000 miles on it so I was use to riding for a good ways....but the ride of this bike is so much better.....love the feel of the motor, the chrome, and my wife will ride with me now....lol....my brother has a 03 also he has the black one.....he has had it for 1yr and 6months and has over 24,000 miles on it he rides the crap out of it and it has never let him down yet and we are planning 3 trips this year so it will have alot more miles on it.....by the way he turned his zx-11 touring bike over to his son with 50,000 miles on it and now it has 63,000....so if you take care of a bike you will see alot of miles.......take care guys
Plan those trips, nothing is better than going on a trip on your bike. I am planning on going on a few this yeaqr too. I got my bike this year and have to make up for lost time. Im glad you like your harley. Hope you have many years of enjoyment out of it.
I have never heard of anybody switching from another bike to a harley and not enjoying.
S&B, glad to hear you're enjoying your ride. I too had many years of riding in, first motocross for several years then a variety of road bikes but until last year was not in a place financially or with respect to the demands of my practice to afford what I always wanted, a Heritage. My brother has an '03 Heritage, mine an '04. Managed to ride 15 thousand miles from delivery in March to the end of '04. Nothing beats riding on a perfect day and looking over at your brother sharing the experience and both of us just grinning away.....Now planning a variety of rides for the coming season. Keep it safe and enjoy.
Congrats on the bike, and enjoy riding with family. My wife and I go on rides together, and I must say, there is noone else in the world I would rather do them with...
Throttle On, welcome to the forum, I hope you will come back often.
