Well, the title says it all. What do you like and wear. I'm sure this ahs been done before, but I am curious and would like to do my own as I am usually thought of as a PW here. Some days I jsut don't have much to say. That was yesterday...LOL

 

There is no helmet law in Indiana so I generally do not wear a helmet. When I do I have a skid lid.

 

Most of my riding is at higher speeds and I enjoy the comfort a full face provides. Dont really care to have my face peeled back by hi winds, looks like I was in a centrofuge!!

 

I guess it depends on what you door don't want to protect !!

 

Hmmm, half or full? I actually have both, I prefer the half, but when the temps are a bit more frigid, I go with the full.

No helmet law here in AZ but I still wear the full face. The thought of hitting pavement without a full face is not a good one. For the record, the first 10 years I rode I never wore a helmet unless I was in a state that required one which was rare. I'm all for choice and glad I get a choice here in AZ, but a full face to me is actually very comfortable except during the summer when its 110...and then I ride about once a week and they are very short rides so it's not too bad....

 

I only own a full face.
If I owned a half, I know I would wear it all the time. I'm sure at city speeds, half is more than enough.. just protect the head, but then I'd get on the freeway, and well... I like my face/chin and want to keep it, so I don't tempt fate.

 

No helmet law here, I own a full face but have not worn it since 99. I don't leave my state much.
I would get a half helmet before wearing the full again, never liked it much.

 

Yep totally agree with rhubarb on this one. I know a half helmet especially in town is nice. Much better peripheral vision and a lot cooler in the summer. But still even in town, I want a full face. Actually the reason today I wear a helmet stems from a buddy of mine up in Scottsdale who was driving to work, some dude cut him off, hitting his front tire and the bike just dropped. He was wearing a helmet luckily but when he showed me the helmet, that was it for me. It literally had a 3 inch by about 1/2 inch deep piece out of it. Not sure if he would have diedor been fu*ked up for a long time, but that moment I decided wearing a helmet was more important that looking good and maybe being a bit more comfortable. Too be honest, putting on my full face is so natural now, I don't know that i'd be comfortable without wearing it....
