At the top of my list is HWY 36 from Red Bluff CA. over to HWY 101 to HWY 1 on our beautiful Pacific coast - We have many good roads in here in California - I have toured hwy 36 in a Corvette, Miata. BMW Z3, Hayabusa, BMW RT, GL1800 Goldwing & a Valkyrie - it's a great road - I have been to the Gap & Blue Ridge Parkway but 36 is at the top of my list!

 

Today it was the 25 mile ride up Hiway 10 between Tahlequah and Kansas,OK skirting the Illinois River. Fall foliage seems to be at it's peak right now.

 

I've many favourites but if I could ride only 1 for the last time it would be Highway 49 California from start to finish.

 

I would have to agree, in my experience, California has more nice roads than any other one state. What makes it interesting is the diversity you get with the mountain passes, canyons, coast, and the E/W roads to the coast and back.
I thought Angles Crest Hwy was nice. Especially since we were the first ones let through when they opened the gate after being closed for snow!


When you see signs like these you know you’re on nice roads!

 

my favorite road is the street in front of my house...it is the one that takes me to all the great roads in this wonderful country we live in.

 

Iron Mountain road and the Needles Highway are 2 destination roads that I ride every time I'm in South Dakota.

 

Iron Mountain Road and Needles in SD are among my favorites but I gotta go with Spearfish Canyon as my favorite. Stop at the damn every time through there. Its my favorite place to be for some reason. Don't know why. Maybe that's why it's so special to me.

 

Hi way 99 "Sea to Sky" highway from Vancouver to Whistler. Right in my backyard and awesome.. It's my after work ride. Also love hwy 3 along the southern edge I'd BC from hope to the Rockies and hwy 20 through the Cascades in Washington State

 

The "Kanc" or Kancamangus Highway in NH.

Because I am from there.

But CA. roads are a biker's dream.

 

I didn't get to ride Ebbitts Pass this year - 1st year in a long time - I also enjoy 49 - I live in Marysville, maybe next week i'll ride lower half - take the big road all the way down & ride 49 back home - maybe find a casino to spend the night on the way back -

Up North Hwy 3 is a little easier on the body and faster than 36 if a guy is short on time - great road

One i really enjoy in the spring is a Napa Valley run - Green hills & beautiful wine country.
