Default can anyone shed some light on this price ?

I'm going to change my fuel filter on my 06 streetglide and called the dealer for price on parts to do this with the recomedation on changing the fuel line that has the quick connect end on it. they called me back with a quote of 179.06 and for the life of me i cant figure out how this adds up. has anybody done this and does this price sound about right?

Which line is it?

The filter is $39.95 at JPCycles.
Is there a reason you are changing the line too?

i know i cant get a better price on the filter im kinda wondering what other parts are adding up to 179.06 . i mean i know i need a new gasket and screws and also that the fuel line from the quick connect isnt cheap but what else is there that i might be missing ?

Had the ole pin Hole in the gas line 2 yrs ago... 500miles from home at 32K

I rolled in to Charlies in WV and they replaced all hoses and filter, along with all the parts that was needed...

Cost me around $330 If I remember right.. But what the hey.. On Vacation U want to be able to ride more than 80 miles before she starts missing out and U have to fill up again..

I was tickled chitless just to get her running tip top again.

A fuel filter costs in the neighborhood of 25.00. I'd try another dealer.

Got my fuel filter from Dennis Kirk, $35, I think. Gaskets and screws from H-D was another $20. Filter came with 2 hoses of similar material as stock and a couple Oeliker clamps. I had already bought the Gates submersible line from Amazon at $15 each. FWIW.
