I can't think on too many things that would scare me more than riding a bike in Jamaica.

 

Wow! I've been to Jamaica and it scares the Hell outta me to be anywhere near what passes for a road there. They drive at a high rate of speed into blind corners, honking wildly,while goats and cattle meander aimlessly...on the street. Rented a scooter once to get around...and lived to tell.Guess it was all the herbal fortification that got me through!

 

yea i have been to negril very many times, the roads and the way they drive scare the chit out of me!!!

 

If you get outside of the touristyareas it's a very risky place. My wife works for a corporate travel company and they flat out refuse to send any groups to Jamacia. But it would be kind of cool to have a HD tee shirt with Bob Marley on it

 

Too many Ganja-Heads, the roads suck, and outside of certain places it's flat out dangerous.

I don't think I'll be doing a Fly & Ride in Jamaica.

The place isn't that big to support 3 to 4 HD Dealerships I wouldn't think. Unless they aren't going to be like the ones I'm used to which are large with a good amount of inventory. Jamaica is roughly 7000+- Square miles, the island is long and narrow it is about 143 mileswide (roughly one tank) and 54 miles tall and for the most part it is a poor place.

I would put one large dealership right in the middle.

hopefully when they are just putting "retail" shops there and not dealerships. There is no way they could support that many dealerships. Like you said it is a very poor country.
