Default Was I Wrong???

Went out for a ride this morning and something happened that has never happened to me in 35 years and I wanted to see if I was the one in the wrong.

I was riding and in my mirror I saw a fellow HD rider weaving through traffic and sliding in right behind me. I was following a semi up a hill so we were going slow. All of a sudden I see the HD rider next to me (sharing the lane) I waved for him to go back. I do not like to share lanes with riders I don't know (I have no idea if they know how to share a lane, how they ride, how they corner). He dropped back, but at the next stop light came up and challenged me on what I did (waving him back). Wanted to know why one Harley brother would do such a thing to another Harley brother (his words) Explained it to him and he began to drop F bombs all over the place, flipped me off, tore away from the light when it turned green cut across my path and when on his way. Not the way my father taught me how to ride in the day.

Was I wrong?

Nope you weren't wrong.

Other guy sounds like a wanna be to me.

I completely agree with you about not riding side by side with someone you don't know.

The guy is a tool. Only an idiot would pull along side another rider in the same lane when they A: don't know you or your style of riding., and B: hasn't been invited to do so.

I hope you told him you weren't his "brother" too.

I think you were 100% right in how you handled the situation.

Definitely not. A lot of people who ride in groups wouldn't ride side-by-side with somebody they've known their whole lives. I'd stay staggered with ANYBODY riding with me. And definitely staggered/in front of anybody I DON'T know.

Not at all.......it's tough to ride another day if you go sliding down the pavement.

Wow. Thanks for the quick replies. I ride alone 99% of the time and thought maybe things had changed. By the way I did tell him were not brothers, I already have two and that is enough. Thanks.

you should have pulled out your shotgun and blasted his *** at the light since he threatened your safety. many here have done it with no consequences.
