I wonder where this person works???

Well this morning I did get a tracking number............FROM UPS, not from Cycleplicity. Since I have my name and address information registered with UPS, they automatically generate emails when shipments are inbound associated with my account.

I still did not receive any communication from Cycleplicity, so for Communication they get a big fat ZERO points awarded.

The part shipment originated from Western Power Sports in Waterloo IN, not from Cycleplicity, so I was right to suspect drop-ship from a third party. So fast shipping and quantity of 4 in stock, ZERO points awarded....Western Power Sports is a Wholesale distributor (http://www.wps-inc.com/) that sells to dealers only. So Cycleplicity appears as nothing more than a drop-ship company with a pretty website. They also have another website called www.Autoplicity.com

The comforting fact is that after researching the Cycle Electric parts and company I did contact them since they offer a 2 year warranty on their ELECTRICAL parts to see from who they would honor warranty from. They stated that there are several online dealers that sell their stuff and they will warranty any part that is their's REGARDLESS of where it was sold, and past the original purchaser. Everything they have is date coded and will base warranty on that date if proof of purchase is not available.

So even though I fell for a pretty website that promoted FAST shipping and showed multiple quantity in stock, I have learned another lesson. Unless it is Summit Racing or Jegs, I will not order online without talking to a warm body to lay hands on the part before I order it! I had previously learned the warranty lesson so that drove me to contact Cycle Electric.

I did get home to a box on my porch yesterday. A perfect sealed Cycle Electric box, shipped from Western Power Sports. Everything looks okay, install this weekend.

Bottom line, Cycleplicity is just a drop ship company, don't order anything and expect it in 1-2 days. You order, you pay, they order, they pay and then it drop ships. Might be quicker than other on some things. Bottom line, don't look for any strong support or response if you have a problem, need to return something or any form of customer service.

Placed an order with these guys last week. They sent an email when the order processed and another when it shipped along with a tracking number. Delivered to my doorstep today. So far I'm happy with them. Great prices.

Lol, and yes that's probably for the best until you figure out pricing.

Back in early November, I ordered a Screaming Banshee horn system for my bike. After a couple weeks of not receiving a confirmation email, I created a ticket to confirm the order. They replied that there was an order. I asked for a tracking # but never heard back
I finally got around to investigating wtf was going on. I checked my CC statement and saw that 3 days after my email exchange, the money had been refunded. So I called cycleplicity, waited on hold for 20 minutes only to find out that they didn't have it in stock, so they had cancelled the order. Without ever notifying me.
Keep in mind that their website promises: "fast ship times" and "live in-stock inventory."

Not to hijack an old thread or anything, but here is my impression/rant of them.

I ordered a total of 6 items from them. Two primary and two transmission oils. I also ordered a pingel petcock.

I got the oil a surprising two days later! I thought wow!
After looking thru the box, there was no petcock or note saying it was on backorder, etc. I waited a few more days and still no petcock. So, I opened a ticket. It was explained to me that the item was being shipped from somewhere else and would arrive at their facility in a day or two and would ship promptly after arrival.

This was on a Tuesday. I waited until Saturday and still no petcock. So, I reopened my ticket and asked for a tracking number. As it was on a Saturday, I did not expect to hear from them.

It is now two weeks later and I STILL do not have my petcock. They were sure quick to bill my credit card, tho.

I will not be ordering from them again.
