Was on a ride last weekend with 400 bikes and the guy in front of me had a bright LED taillight and compared to the other taillights it seemed that he had his brakes applied causing some issues within the group.
I run the new Harley layback LED taillight and during normal operation although it is brighter than the normal stock taillight it isn't so bright that it appears that the brake light is on. Now when applying the brake it gets very bright.
This is the way a taillight should operate in my opinion.
