baka, two pin switch? if so, jump the plug to the switch (paperclip, insert from one connector to the other connector) and if your brake lights work...switch is bad you can take a test light and probe the brake light switch plug while holding down the brake pedal to see if it has current

I finally got it all done. It ended up being more complicated than it should have. The core issue was the rear brake switch. That was an easy fix. Not only that, I got one of those vacuum bleeder and it couldn't have been easier. So much so I decided to change out the front brake fluid while I was at it. So thanks for that tip!

The problem was the right rear turn signal wiring was all frayed. To top it off, the previous owner of the bike put FRONT turn signals on the rears. I ended up buying a new set of rears. Which I had to reroute the wire through the screw hole and replace a few other parts inside the rear brake light. Not to mention multiple trips to the dealer. A little heat shrink tubing and I finished.

Thanks again for all of the help.

Glad you got it figured out. I was going to suggest the socket for the brake/tail light bulb. Thats what happened to mine and it ended up being the contacts in the socket weren't making good contact with the bulb so I bent the contacts in a little and now they make good contact and the bulb works.
