Smile another reason to go to sturgis

the AMA pro-flat track schedule has just been announced. there will be a national event in sturgis on wednesday of bike week in 2014. with riders coming in from all parts of the country, this will be a good chance for you guys that don't normally have races in your area to see what it is all about. the racers put on quite a show.

Sounds cool. I've been trying to go for years but family obligations have always kept me back.

If you've never been to a Pro Flat Track Race you don't know what you're missing. This is a real exciting event. These boys can fly!

I'd like to go once, just to say I've been there. Everything else is gravy.

Been to Daytona twice, and watched the road race the last time I went. Been a long time though. Eddie Lawson won the race if that tells you anything. I'd love to go to Sturgis but it is a loooong way. Maybe this year.

I haven't seen flat track racing since I was a teenager at the San Jose Mile. I would enjoy that.

I always like going to the races at Sturgis. They have hill climbs and short track races on the west/south side of 90, and then the half mile track over on Ballpark road. Wednesday has always been the day for the half mile track races, but it's always been local and regional amateurs. I'm happy to see that they're bringing in the pros this year.

I don't have enough pto to make it to sturgis. Gonna try to make all the bike weeks this year and as many rallies as possible.

That is really great to hear. More options for those that make the trip.

Default Flat Track Sturgis

Now another reason to go back to Sturgis in 2014, Pro flat track racing. Sure it is a far ride, but like the pigmy said of the elephant, you eat it one bite at a time.
