Does anyone know anything about Indian Moco. and specifically about the Scout? I know the basics --no longer in business, may start back up--and such. I have a chance to get an 2001 Scout with 3800 miles on her, all original with great paint. The guy is desperate to get her out and I got him down to $8200. I see 2 of them on ebay going for 13000-15000k and am thinking this is a steal. As far as I know the motor runs great and there are no mechanical probs anywhere. So if anyone has any insight on this subject please let me know. Thanks !!!

 

Looked it up in Blue Book,I think those eBay guys are a bit high.

Think of the Scout of that year as an Indian-branded HD clone. It has S&S drivetrain parts, and the metal came from the Calif. Motor. Co. that won the rights to the Indian name/logo. So getting parts/maint. should be relatively easy. (not like Henderson - THOSE are a pain to get parts for).
