A new battery will be a good idea. Might want to change all fluids as well. Gas might be staled. Try some SeaFoam and run the tank till it almost dry and fill it back up.

You should be able to just swap the battery and be good to go. You might cycle the key on and off leaving it on for 5-10 seconds to make sure the computer boots/reboots after sitting for 6 years. And like the other guy said, it would be a good idea to go through and replace all the fluids.

Did you even try to start it, try recharging the current battery, or changing the battery in FOB before dropping around $125 on a new battery?

I had a 13 year "discrepancy" back in the day & it didn't stop me from riding or driving!

I am such a rebel!

Thanx all for the help, I'm having it delivered today so I should be good to go, Battery was on a tender for the first 3 years then just gave out, probably a broken heart from not being ridden, **** incarceration!

Besides the battery you need to replace the tires and tubes. Also the brake system fluid and all seals.
