Default I need a front end for a Softail!!!!

All!!

I wrecked my softail springer classic last year.

To sell the bike i am trying to get it back to running order. I need a front end that will fit an "05 softail. preferagbly a thicker front end more along the lines of a road king or a fat boy.

Do any of you know what sizes/or front ends from specific models will fit and what i should look for?

Also, any specific swap sites/web sites anyone has that would be a good place to look would be appreciated.

Thanks guys and gals!

if you're looking to sell it, why not pick up an aftermarket springer front end and keep the bike a springer?

I think a Heritage springer will sell quicker than a regular heritage... especially if the title says it was a springer.

I put a DNA springer front on another bike and loved it. I know others have mixed reviews on DNA products, so your mileage may vary

Well that was the original idea, but i was worried about any of the stock parts bolting back up, and then having to spend more money to get it moving. (Brakes, fender, axles)

Did you use stock parts on it?

Thanks for the reply too!

yes, they will bolt right up to the harley neck.

I am unsure on fenders, cause I ran mine fenderless. I went to check the DNA website and it's down right now. But the wheel, and brakes bolted right up without issue too

Had the same thing happen to mine. 2000 Springer, 2003 Fat Boy front end bolted right up. Bike looks and handles great, just replace the Springer air cover.

The used bike market sucks for nice bikes...wrecked bikes are worth little and really hard to sell. The only way that bike would be worth much at all, is if you repaired it back to original with an OEM springer front end...there are at least 7 FL springers on ebay right now...but the cheapest one is 2k...with peeling chrome. Hate to say it but you may be better off parting it out.

Thanks for all of your replies guys! Im really trying to figure out what to do with this thing. Im really not looking to make anything off of it. Just need to sell it to cover the last little bit i had to remove from my savings account to clear the new bike!

Now i just have to decide, aftermarket springer or the fat boy front end....
