Default Extending Forward Controls On Lowered 1993 FLSTF

I want to extend my Biker's Choice forward controls 2-3" on my lowered 1993 Fatboy. I emailed Accutronix, a company who makes 3" extension kits, and before I told them the bike was lowered, they told me that it is possible the front fender will hit the brake side controls if the bars are turned full left and the suspension is compressed. I then sent them a picture of the bike and they said it is possible they won't hit. I'm not sure what to think. Has anyone extended aftermarket forward controls, not floorboards, on a Fatboy or Heritage? What kit did you use and any issues? Thanks
