Conversion from 88 to 103 /do I need software upgrade
HI there, I have a 2005 street Bob, the bike is running very rich after we done the conversion in the engine and put on V&H exhaust.. ..the bike shooting like crazy, smoking as well....spark plugs are wet and black (smells like petrol). Do i have to do a software conversion or there is other way....here In Bulgaria the cost for this conversion is stupid expensive.

no, I have not....that's why Im wondering if one of those power commander or dyno jet units will do the job....as I understand it just need to be plug it and all the information it will be send to the main cdi unit.

Nice, would have been a good time to go bigger while you had the cases split. A lot more money though.
Don't know what you mean by software conversion, unless you are talking about having the dealer flash your ECM, then yes, you need that or an aftermarket tuner. Surprised you didn't know this seeing how you just did a major engine upgrade?
