Default 2000 Road King No Start

Hey guys,
working on my dads bikes. Hes got a 2000 Road King Police Special. It had no battery when I got it, broken throttle cables, and appears to have a small fuel leak at one of the fittings under the tank. Tossed in a new battery, some fresh fuel, and topped off the oil. It powers on, I can head the fuel pump and IAC all work. However us just cranks and cranks.

I have confirmed I have spark, and feel like I have a fuel problem. I poured some fuel straight into the throttle body and got her to fire and run for a few moments. I did some research and think the fuel might have turned to varnish, and clogged the injectors.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do next? I read that someone said the injectors could be soaked. I think I need to replace that fuel fitting. Any other thoughts? TIA guys!

First question, are you sure it's an FI bike? Don't take offense, please, just an honest question because normally fuel injection can power thru bad fuel and still run.

How long was the bike down for?

Yup, that's fuel injection all right. Thanks for confirming.

Looks like the whole system needs a thorough going-over. Take it all apart, clean everything out, put it back together. If you're not up to the task, check out Chopper Gallery in Temecula. (FYI, I used to live in San Diego) They're helped me out with bits and parts here and there, and it's close to you.

Or sell it to someone who'll know what to do. Your call. What are your ultimate plans for the bike?

Plan was to sell it. I had a guy interested, but he wants to hear it run. So I started with buying a battery. Didn't start, so I've been moving down the list. If I squirt some fuel in the TB it runs, so its gotta be a FI issue.

I'm not sure what it's worth not running. Needs some TLC, broken throttle cable, has some fender damage, missing some random nuts and bolts, foot landings could use some new rubber. And the whole thing needs a good cleaning.

So with those fittings leaking fuel, do I need new fitting or hoses? Or is the tank shot? I dont get why one is leaking over the other.
