Default Odometer Condensation Issue

2016 DYNA STREET BOB (FXDB 103)

Does anyone else have condensation that collects on the inside of the odometer? If so, how do you clean it, and ultimately prevent it from happening in the future?

I do and will be watching this thread. Not sure if there is any way to prevent it.

Thats what I’ve been hearing but I haven’t heard any solutions. I will definitely continue researching this topic and post any updates.

There are several videos on how to disassemble the gauges on HD's in an effort to clean and reseal the units ... Not sure of their success or longevity ... If there was a resolve albeit probably temporary ... Mine have done it on each of mine starting with my 76 XLCH and on through the years to my current 2009 FLHTCU :<(

It’s the heat from the bulbs creating condensation on the cold glass. The fix seems to be switching to led bulbs. Touring guys have reported less or no condensation after switching gauge bulbs to led.

If yours is from riding in the rain......good luck !
