Default 2012 Roadking shut off twice at stops including electric

Two times I’ve rolled to a stop sign and the bike shuts off entirely (electric included). I flip my power switch off then on again, it starts right back up. I’m guessing a ground wire? Power switch? Bike has 8500 miles never had a problem. No new work done on it. It is due for maintenance. Any ideas? Thank you

You already had a couple of good ideas. Follow up on them and check the terminals at the battery and the ground connections as well. Could also be a loose wire or bad connection at the ignition or start switch. Charge the battery fully and have it load tested.

Default Question

Is there any chance that my stereo may be causing this? It was installed prior to me buying. It was cutting out entirely off and on for a while now. I thought that it may have a ground not setting well. Could a wire from it short out the entire electric system of the bike? Far fetched I know. Thank you

The 2012 RK still routes most the power through the ignition switch so you have a loose connection somewhere. If you had a short, you'd blow a fuse. I'd suspect that the ignition switch is going bad if all the terminals are tight. You can pop the dash off and look at the connections to the switch, if any part looks melted, replace the switch and repair/repalce/solder the connectors on the harness side.

Well, it's fixed! Thank you for the help. The negative on battery was tight, but not tight enough. I did short rides, then a 3hr ride. No problems at all. I cleaned electrical areas from battery to switch as well. Thank you again for the help!
