Default Pushrods

If I want to change my pushrod covers from chrome to black, do I need to change the pushrods also? Or can I just buy the tubes?

Just by the tubes. On most bikes you need to pull the rocker covers and rocker arms/supports to get the pushrods out. Faster way would be to cut the old pushrods and use easy install pushrods but then you'd be need new pushrods. Up to you. It's worthwhile to buy a manual.

I have a manual. I also bought new upper and lower rockers to change from chrome to black. Just wondered if I didn't need to spend another $200 on a set of rods or if I could get away with buying just the covers.

If you're pulling the rockers boxes anyway just tag the lifters and rods so they go in where they were and you'll be fine.

Actually that's an awesome idea...im sure Roland sands will be along to steal your idea lol. Of all the clarity covers available I might actually consider clear pushrods.
