Default Dual exhaust rear pipe clamp position - Help!

Didn't think this position was right but tried it anyway...

Hi all, new to the forums as you wonderful people have always already solved any issues I've had so far, so thanks heaps!

I'm just installing a set of Freedom dual fishtails on my '12 Softy Deluxe, got a bent shift rod sent over from Samson (quite quick and good price too!) But am having trouble fitting the rear (crossover?) pipe.

It doesn't seem to matter which way I put the clamp on it's either in the way of the shift rod or the heatshield... Is there a smaller one I should get or am I missing something?!

Also, the shifter rod seems to just sit slack against the primary box, have I done something wrong there too?

Thanks in advance, I'm new to forums in general so will try post some pics but not sure how successful I'll be!

Cheers, Stay upright!

Did you buy those pipes used? They look like they've been run awhile. If so are you sure they're for your specific model and year because that's a hell of a poor spot to have that connection. The duals on my 93 FLSTC connect on the right side. In any case, get in touch with the company that made the pipes, send them the pictures and get their input.
