Hi all ,gonna ask whats probably a dumb question but I have a 10 ultra with SE big sucker a/c with the normal k&n filter. i replaced the a/c cover with one from a 14 SG. The big sucker for a 14 comes with a filter that contours to the inside of that a/c cover my filter of course does not. is this a big deal performance wise? Or is it just contoured to keep the a/c cover from rotating after install?
Yeah, you are correct, that contour is only to keep the cover in place when mounted. It will have 0 effect on the performance or runability of your bike.
