Could, or just do screws. That way, if something happens, they could be removed. I seen metal ones that look like wood and are magnetic on the back. Real cool but my doors are wood (Bakelite on the outside) now.

My only thoughts on screws or any fastener like that would be dimpling.

True. Countersink them and be careful. For all the wood work and time, probably be easier to just buy new doors.. lol OR move and buy another house that has the doors i want. We will be moving south in a couple years anyways. ll depends on how pissed we both get a work. So either move down now and work for some years. Or stay here in Pgh, Pa and, retire, then move where ever.

Literally anything will show. That's why I suggested contact cement with a veneer. You know there's also the option of wraps.....
