Default Can anyone help me out with some knowledge?

So...there's a couple questions I have. I'm trying to learn over time because I want to be able to work on my own bike, as well as save lots of money. For the most part I can figure out where to look if I want to install something or understand something.

i kicked up a small metal rod riding and it seems to have ripped 2 wires...I cannot figure out where they go. I beleive they came from my power commander fuel chip just by kind of tugging but I look all around for something resembling the colors...purple and yellow...but I cannot find it anywhere. It's a 2012 heritage classic with Vance and Hines Longshots with an rsd heavy breather at power commander fuel chip. I'm wondering if they didn't somehow hook up directly to the pipes and no can do an easy splice to fix the problem. The bike rides, I am sure it would ride better, but everything is so expensive I need to figure this out at fix it my self if I can. Here's some pics.

Thanks in advance for any guidance. Im a noob but want to learn.

This is looking up directly from under the frame down straight from back of the seat the power commander is under the seat

The breather

why on god's green earth is the wiring attached to the exhaust? surprised they have not melted.
cannot see the color but are the wires solid yellow and solid purple?
the wires can be fixed in place with some shrink tubing and a soldering iron.

First you need to trace the wires and see what they are connected to at the other end.

All we can do is waste your time by guessing.

Some effort on your part is required.

I tried looking at the wiring diagrams for the 2012 softail but the only YELLOW wire is for the headlamp and that wire certainly doesn't run along the bottom of the frame. Maybe those wires are for some aftermarket accessory.

I think OP pulled those wires over and layed them on the exhaust to take the photo?

Looks like it’s attached to the frame rail under the exhaust as is common.
