Default Rear sprocket selection

I’m working on a project bike converting a rear wheel to fit. I’m not sure what the rear wheel came off. I’m trying to find the correct 530 chain sprocket to fit this wheel. I am finding rear sprockets with a 1.9”, 2”, and 2.2” center hole. I’m measuring the sprocket on the wheel now at 1.96”. I’m not sure which sprocket center hole diameter to try.

buy a blank and have a machine shop to fit it.
especially so if you know no history of the wheel.

That is basically what I decided on. I got a sprocket coming with the smaller hole in it. Seller listed the bolt spacing and it matched what I have. I have a lathe but it isn’t quit big enough to fit the sprocket in. I will have to be using a spacer so I can machine it down to fit whatever size I need.

well i hope you get-r done
adapters are nice, seen a few on auto rims, that said, also seen some failures also.
sorta reminds me of the olden days where rivets were used to attach the sprocket. there is a proper tool for that but most just whale them on and in short order they fail so they resort to welding.
the rivet must be expanded into the hole not bent over.

Sounds like you should have gotten a sprocket with a larger hole in it and machined a spacer to fit.
