Heated Grip Throttle Side Sliding Off
Hey wondering if anyone has had this problem and how they fixed it? I Have had this problem a couple of times and always replaced the grips, they are expensive and time consuming to replace. Has anyone come up with a method of re-sticking it! Lol
I was thinking crazy glue but before I do something I will regret, thought I would check with the pros.

I only did the left side (clutch) it kept rotating around the heated element, I carefully cut the rubber with an x-acto knife being cared not to go to deep into the heating element. I then sliced a little bit to form a gap between the slice I made, I then applied high temp silicone adhesive around the inside of the grip and put back around the bar heating element, then covered that with the golf club shrink wrap tubing mentioned here and on other forums, after 700 fish miles this spring with the heat on the grips so far so good!
No experience with heated grips. Do they fit a bit sloppy on the bar? If so, maybe wrap a little of the white "medical" type tape on the bar in a wide spaced spiral. Then pour a bit of lighter fluid inside the grip and coat the inside, pour the rest on the tape on the bar. Then run the grip home and orient it. You will have a short time to slide grip on and position it how you want. Then snug everything up. The lighter fluid reacts with the adhesive on the tape and creates a bit of a glued seal. I did this on my dirt bikes and golf clubs. down side is you have to cut the old grips off when replacing.
