Question Grip, left hand - end cap loose?

How is that end cap secured to the grip? and how do you take the grip off to fix it? I know, I know, this sounds like a dumb question, but the bike is not here yet and I just purchased it. Thanks, JC.

When I changed my handle bars, I found the end caps on the grips were screwed on- a screw on the cap, a nut behind it. I spent about 30 minutes trying to remove the LH (clutch) side grip with no success. I finally gave up, bought new grips- but did rip out the end cover.

My new grips lost an end cap this fall and just today I went and bought a set of HD end caps. My new grip's ends snap in. THe new HD end caps will snap in or screw (they have both a threaded stud and a "snapper" ring).

it's just a screw.

iffin you dunno how to get it off, here's how.

a 25# and #27 Torx bit.
lay a blanket over the tank & fender. (ask me now i know)

take the controls off, the clutch lever off.

take a long thin skinny screwdriver, and work it under there.

spray in some WD-40 using the straw, work it all around to break it loose.

iffin that don't do, use Carb Cleaner (that should melt most glue/mess)
and keep the Carb Cleaner off the paint.

pull it off, and there should be a Phillips screw head down in there,
take it apart, look at it,
then put it all pack together.

use the carb cleaner on a rag to clean the bar area and the inside the grip.

use what ever adhesive you want
some use spray adhesive
some use super glue
some use WD-40 (supposa dry out and the ruber sticks to the bar.

ride it like your stole it!!

congrats on the new scoot. lets see pics!!!
