Even with a HD wide tire kit, you can only go up to a 150, but they only make them for 97 and up. If you want to go that big, you will have to get a different swing arm and fender, there are kits made by performance machine and others but you are looking at big $$$$$$$$.
Yep . I have an 87 and there is not alot you can do . Figure the swingarm I bought was 800 , longer axle apx 65 . trans spacer 50 then a crackshaft ext apx 65. alternator spacer apx 80 . rear strutless fender ? $ and some hours of fun . It is going back together now I have been waiting for parts from powder coating . I did mock it up and it looks really good . Hopefully it will be done this weekend .
I have the same question for a 2002 Heritage classic? Is the answer the same?
