Default Shifter Bracket Bushing

has anyone replaced there shifter bracket bushing. i have a 1990 fxstc and the bushing needs replacement, well not really, but its pretty sloppy and would be nice to tighten it up some. ive found the bushings at jpcycles but they look like a press fit. anyone out there done theres and maybe give me some pointers. thanks

The bushings thta JP sells are fine,but in the past ,I used a small piece of coke or beer can.Loosen everything up and cut a piece the length and width you need and slide into the bushing space .It lasts for a good while .Make sense ??Acts as a spacer .
