My 96 FLHTC has developed some side to side wobble on the rear (transmission end) shifter bracket. I attempted to loosen and re tighten the shifter arm bracket but there seems to be some pretty bad wear on the splined shifter shaft. I know I'll have to pull the inner primary to get to the shaft and the tranny. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? I'm planning to replace the shifter shaft from the tranny as a winter project.
Any info is appreciated.
