Default Question about installing apes.

What is a fair price to pay? I am interested in getting a set of 14" Bagger apes on my 94 EGC. My Indy quoted me a price of $700.00 to $800.00. He told me he needs to R&I the fairing, install all new cables (dual calipers), relocate air ride valve etc. This price does include all parts and labor including a pair of black Wild One Chubby's. Is this price in the ball park? I thought I could get away with around $500.00. Advise please.

I installed my own wild 1 chubbys,it was time consuming, the quoted price sounds fair To me. There was a few moments I wish I had paid someone to do it.

I did my own in 11 hours. Plus, while I was in there I did an easy pull clutch kit. the dealer charges for 10 hours. 700 is a good price
