I don't think Edmonton is going to win on a rights issue. They've had very little luck raising funds to have a lawyer handle the city's appeal coming up... a Charter challenge is going to cost a lot more, and Edmonton riders aren't stepping up to the plate when it comes to fundraising for the fight.

The current fight may lead to the LEOs following the J2825 standards completely, but it isn't going to make the bylaw go away. Making it harder to do the tests will make it more expensive and take the money-grab out of the equation.

If we can't raise a couple thousand for a small traffic court appeal, there's no way we'll raise the 10s of thousands needed for a charter challenge.

Hey guys, How many of you here from Alberta would be interested in having a get together at my cabin?
It's located about 1 hour from downtown Calgary, 20 minutes North West of Cochrane and about 10 minutes South of Bottrell.
Room for about 20 bikes to setup tents. Sometime during Stampede week perhaps.
Whatcha think?

I'll need to know an approximate number of how many would come, so spread the word as alot of us don't check in here on a daily basis.
I'll post some pics of the place somewhere on the forum, maps and more info as soon as I get an idea of numbers.

I'm not sure how this summer will go. Sounds like it would be a nice get away. May need a little r&r trip, and meet some forum members.

I'd kinda like it to happen....the weekend of July 9,16 or 23rd. All of you get there Saturday, set up, eat, drink and be merry then have some breakfast and fly outa there sometime Sunday afternoon.
I,ve got a big grill that will fit over the fire pit and a couple barbecues. An electric oven in the cabin.
A bathroom with running water, not hot(yet) and there's an outhouse down the road.
The road is paved from the 22 but there is about a kilometer of packed gravel till you get to the spot, nothing to bad.

Okay, so far we got rabbit, milesj, wireguided, maybe silver fox. Waiting on Biker Oma from Cochrane also. I have 4 friends who ride HD's, my wife of course and a couple of the neighbours next door to the cabin who ride,we can move from fire pit to fire pit.
Gonna call up Danny Nelson and Darcy from Gas Alley HD and see if they can make it also.
