With it being easter, at best I might get out for an hour or so this afternoon.
No destination in mind, might run down and do the loop of pigeon lake, I just turn when I feel like it and see where I end up.

There was an article in the Journal that the Edmonton cops are going to crack down on loud pipes this year. They're not using a DB meter just "officer discression" It said if they can't prove your pipes are illegal they will charge you with stunting if you are really cracking the throttle off the line. I don't come into town very often but I think I'll avoid Edmonton City for a bit.

Until they put an actual SPL limit into law and start carrying SPL meters, I'll fight any ticket I get. I've been in the city a few times so far this year, and the cops I've passed haven't even glanced at me. I do try to ride like a sane person though

I was talking to a guy at a stoplight the other day who said he got 3 tickets at once.. Too loud, too fast and an illegal helmet. $450 total.. Better watch out.

The cops haven't given me a sideways look yet, but I don't ride like a tool either.
It was only a matter of time for 3 ticket guy. The cops were targeting novelty helmets last year, combine that speeding and a loud bike and it's gonna cost ya.
