Great weekend everyone! We sure missed those of you that couldnt or didnt get to come out n play! Met Wireguided and friends....thats a sweet bike he is running, nice paint for sure to say the least..A great guy to know. Lots of bikes, a few of the different Veterans clubs and groups were out and a lot of great folks. Weather was steller for SAt and windy and cool then wet for the last hour home to Cold Lake on Sunday! this is one to put on your calenders for next June folks! Its only gonna get bigger!

Randy, broke my LH saddlebag mount in New norway sunday am some how. Gun taped it together and got her home inbetween margot and Bill since i had no light. Put a meter on things last night after splitting the fairing, seat off etc etc..nothing we can find so far. HD tech this am tells me it will likely be in the yellow or white wire to the headlight....sure hope so as i want to do 3 weeks 2 UP on the Glide but...easily do it on the heritage too.

RCMP escort into camrose and they said ride right thru town red lights and all.
The locals must of crapped figuring we were the red and White (they had a run not far away)
Anyway lemme know if i can fix the bracket or make you a better one from better materials.
as for the light put the tester on Ohms Ground black to the bike and test yellow and white if either show anything above zero ohms that is the wire buddy.
If you wanna do paint we can talk for sure..

Thank you for the offer of help! I am sure the bracket will be ready tonight..otherwise it just may be the Heritage..which is ok too! LOL

I do have Rick's #..A good guy for sure and I count him as a Brother in the true sense.

Now, I will be running home from work at 3 to recheck wiring! I will set to Ohms ground and check those wires right at the bulb socket and see what happens. two things I found, the RH signal at the front had more water then the tub( but not related to the headlight...different circuit and also atthe bottom of the fender I changed the FLHX marker light to the sealed unit that flashes as a brake...well it was full of frickin water too...it was a nasty rain storm! So I changed it out too. once the bag mount is fixed I will ride it also with outer fairing off to see if it blows the passing lamps out ( same circuit)

Went home at lunch... did the yellow, white wires at the headlight all read zero with ign off and set on ohms

Also checked the blue wire right at the fuse block. it also read zero

So if there was a groun it would read that? Even though not running or moving( ie vibration)??

if it was a shorted circuit it would show a reading.
Zero is a good thing.
above zero would mean a problem

that would mean it found a path via a ground short to negative somehow.

All seems to be working again..regulater wire was bare, full of crap etc, cleaned and sealed it up also

so far no fuse blown on 2 rides tonight
